SECA is delighted to share a major milestone for Singapore’s electrical engineering community — Singapore has officially attained 𝗣-𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 (𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿) status in the 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗜𝗘𝗖) 𝗧𝗖 𝟴𝟭 (𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻)!
IEC TC 81 is the global technical committee responsible for developing and maintaining the 𝗜𝗘𝗖 𝟲𝟮𝟯𝟬𝟱 international lightning protection standards, along with key component, system, and safety standards. Securing P-Member status gives Singapore a direct vote and active voice in shaping international standards that safeguard lives and critical infrastructure worldwide.
We are also proud to share that with the consensus of the Singapore Lightning Working Group, 𝗠𝗿. 𝗪𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗮𝗶 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗴, Technical Director of DEHN ASIA PACIFIC PTE. LTD. and a valued SECA member, has been nominated to represent Singapore as part of our expert team on this technical committee.
